Dr. Yurkofsky Podiatry Practice

Problem

Dr. Lynn Yurkofsky needed a special piece of diagnostic equipment, called PADnet for her podiatry practice. The equipment is an improved way to test for peripheral artery disease, a common circulatory problem in which narrowed arteries reduce blood flow to limbs. When circulation is impaired, even a small cut or blister on the foot can become a wound that doesn't heal, a common complication for patients with diabetes. The equipment would allow the doctor to more accurately test the flow of blood in her patients' feet, detect any circulation problems and treat them before they become a hindrance to proper healing.

Solution
